Ed Kear – President/Founder
Ed Kear is the President of Uptime Consulting. Uptime was established in 2000 and actively services the needs of small business in the upstate NY Albany vicinity. Mr. Kear has been involved with IT support for over 30 years at Fortune 500 companies all the way down to mom and pop operations. He extensive background in programming has given him the ability to pick up all technologies rapidly and knows many of the turnkey applications that run small businesses in the legal, medical, dental, accounting and construction sectors.
Mr. Kear has been aiding Medical practices and Medical Insurance companies with their IT needs for over 20 years as both an employee and private contractor. His skill sets in security and network compliance has led to Uptime Consulting being uniquely position as a leader in HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act) IT technology. Uptime has survived many HIPAA compliance audits and Mr. Kear offers his expertise to all his clients in the Medical field.
